THE OPPORTUNITY
This role will be part of our Customer Operations function within the Aircraft business, which is focused on the end-to-end delivery and support of our Forge for Airlines application. This role is responsible for the generation and maintenance of high-quality training materials, user manuals and release notes for Honeywells Forge for Airlines platform. It is an exciting opportunity in a high potential business that provides the selected candidate the opportunity to learn new domains and develop technical writing skills. The Customer Operations organization supports the selected candidate by providing the opportunity to share best practices across other business units (Aircraft, Plant, Cyber & Worker), and build capability as a broader team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be creating and maintaining easy to use product documentation: user manuals, instructions, release notes and online documentation.
You will be responsible for the complete set of training materials for Forge for Airlines from training slides to developed exercises.
You will be preparing graphical descriptions of the user interface, charts, etc.
You will participate in creating and revisioning of product concept descriptions and materials.
You will be expected to operate well in a high paced, rapidly evolving, environment, which requires a quick adaptation and action.
You have to consistently demonstrate strong communication skills, self-drive and self-management.
You will be solving problems through technology & automation - youre in a software business!
QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS REQUIRED
The selected candidate should have a proven record of maintaining complex technical documentation, preferably for a complex cloud-based software solution. Fluent English both written and spoken is a must. The individual must also have a deep technical understanding of how software is developed, released, and operated in agile and lean environments.
Other required capabilities/experiences include:
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience working with large enterprise environments known for innovation, diversified solutions/products and being obsessed with end-user value.
Must have sound knowledge on how technical documentation is developed including industry standards and best practices.
Must have 2+ years of experience maintaining and delivering high quality technical documentation.
Bachelors degree or higher in engineering or information technology required
Software development or technical support experience will be considered an advantage.
Experience in the Aerospace industry will be considered an advantage.
