TheEnterprise Services Compute and Connectivity Platform Organization designs, implements and operates a state-of-the-artInformation Systems Infrastructure serving around 110,000 employees, in over900 locations across 65 plus countries. The CCP Backup Engineer will be primarily responsible for managing the dailyactivities ensuring the security and integrity of company data, databases,servers and applications. This job is part of the Enterprise ComputeInfrastructure team and includes gathering requirements and assisting with thedesign, recommendation and implementation of on-premise and cloud-based backupand recovery platforms. This person is also responsible for making improvementsto the existing systems to optimized and to improve the reliability andavailability of recovery technologies. Additionally, candidates will beresponsible for participating in Disaster Recovery exercises on a regularbasis.
Key Responsibilities:
Planning the Storage, Backup, and Security strategy, including ownership for all data classification.
Provide oversite to Honeywell IT in backup and storage platform optimization, monitoring and lifecycle management
Gather requirements and assist with the implementation of on-premise and cloud-based storage and backup solutions
Manage enterprise scale backup systems including: VERITAS NetBackup, Commvault, VMWARE VEEAM, Cohesity and Dell/EMC Avamar
Accountable for technology roadmaps related to backup technologies
Troubleshoot performance issues related to backup workloads
Participate in calls with other members to address and troubleshoot application and or infrastructure related issues
YOUMUST HAVE
A bachelors Degree; preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or Business-Related Discipline
Minimum of 8 years of enterprise backup experience including Experienced in maintaining and troubleshooting large mission critical installations
A strong technical experience/ expertise with applications to integrate with backup software and recovery
Capacity planning, performance optimization experience
Expertise in cloud data protection and storage options provided by major cloud providers, to include: AWS (AMAZON) and Microsoft Azure
Strong understanding of Networking concepts such as TCP/IP, VPN, NFS/SMB/ CIFS/SCSI protocols, encryption methods, and the installation and configuration of their associated Network infrastructure.
Experience with Installation, Racking & Stacking of Hardware
Creation and maintenance of run-book and standards documentation management and audit support;
Experience with ServiceNow or another similar formal Service Management platform and/or methodology

YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or technical related field. 5 years experience in Windows Server Administration (Windows 2012/2008 Operating Systems). Experience supporting IT Operations.

- 5 years experience in managing Window Server & DC operations
- Possess strong knowledge on Windows Server 2012/2008 OS
- Strong knowledge on Windows Security & Patching tools
