Job Summary The Primary Engineering Specialist is responsible for providing technical expertise and support for engineering projects within the organization. This role involves preparing engineering deliverables, conducting design calculations, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulations. The Specialist will focus on projects related to AIS and GIS substations, working on both tenders and projects. Key Responsibilities: Engineering Deliverables: Prepare all primary engineering deliverables, including substation layouts, section drawings, bill of materials, design calculations, grounding system design, lightning system design, and related documentation. International Standards: Demonstrate experience with international standards such as IEC, IEEE, and AS. Tendering and Project Support: Provide technical support for substation tendering and project activities, including preparing budgetary offers, reviewing and validating bill of materials, and conducting design calculations. Design Reviews: Plan and conduct review meetings with relevant stakeholders, including LPG, to assess workload and identify opportunities for optimization. Customer Approvals: Obtain customer approvals for designs and drawings. Risk Assessment: Conduct technical risk and opportunity assessments to identify potential challenges and opportunities. Collaboration: Coordinate with engineering managers, leads, tendering teams, product managers, project managers, SCM, secondary and civil/steel design functions, consultants, and end customers to provide required support for projects and tenders. Documentation: Maintain and update project documentation according to quality processes. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. 5-8 years of experience in CAD design tools (Autodesk Revit, 3D competence preferred) and engineering calculation tools. Knowledge of relevant international standards (IEEE, IEC, etc.). Experience in substation tendering and project engineering activities (technical and commercial). Strong understanding of primary engineering principles and practices. Ability to work independently and think critically to challenge traditional solutions. Comprehensive knowledge of related disciplines within the organization. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Qualification :
Bachelors Engineering in Electrical.
