Job Summary

Roles and Responsibilities


Position Title : Area Manager-S&D, CAT-3 (FAT Products)

Reports To : Branch Manager - S&D, Cat-3 (FAT Products)

Location : Respective Sales Offices

Function : Sales & Distribution

Position Brief: Responsible for sales, distribution & development of all category-3 (FAT Products) of milk products in the

assigned territory , by ensuring ISO guidelines with an objective to achieve the budgeted business targets and customer

satisfaction.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Distributor management :

- Ensure Distributor Get Minimum 24% ROI.

- Inventory Management


Distributor maintains 2 weeks inventory at all times apart from Market credit.

FIFO and Expiry management.

Make sure Distributors receive fresh stocks similarly Retailers also get the same fresh stocks.

Monitor and followFirst In First out stocks flow system to avoid expiry stocks.


- Claim process :- Claims to be submitted in the same or next month to avoid delay and ensure all the claims

to be checked and provided the supporting documents for quick reimbursement

  • POSM Management: Track the POSM received and utilized in the market.
  • CompetitionManagement:
  • Monitor, analyze and report the CompetitorPrice, Promotions, new launches and Marketing activities to

take the necessary steps to ensure the sales targets happen and report the same to RSM/ SH/BM &

Head - S&D, Cat-3 (FAT Products).


  • Plan, execute and achieve the sales targets as per the business plan.
  • Develop market intelligence and expansion of distribution network.
  • Ensure to collect/recover the sales realization and out standings. Operate on cash & carry model.
  • Ensure to monitor the cash & Bank Activities on day to day business.
  • To coordinate with Executives and identify the Gap areas where there is zero or low presence of our FAT Milk

products.

  • To conduct market surveys to understand the sales potential of areas and get competitors details & market

share and strategies adopted by them periodically.

  • Ensure the expenses under the approved budgets.
  • Responsible for placement of Freezer in the Market. Review the productivity of freezers and conduct

periodically asset audits to ascertain the assets.

  • Effective control to minimize the leakages & damages and keep the same within the allocated budgets.
  • Optimum utilization of manpower & ensure deployment as per the plan.
  • Training / handholding / development of the team and review their skill and competency gap on a periodic basis

and suggest appropriate training methods / modules for improving the employees skills and competency.

  • Organize customer contract programs and addressing complaints.
  • Statutory and ISO Compliance.

Core Competencies:

  • Ability to be flexible and work analytically in a difficult environment
  • Very good territory knowledge
  • Appointment distributors , Expansion of Retails outlets.
  • Know-how and application of schemes
  • Good communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills
  • Excellent negotiation, influence, mediation and conflict management skills

Desired Candidate Profile


Education/Certifications and Experience:

  • Preferably Post Graduate / PG Diploma Holder in Sales & Marketing
  • 10-12 years of experience in Sales & Distribution Experience
  • Experience in FMCG, Dairy, Beverage industries shall be considered.
Experience Required :

5 to 10 Years
