StorekeeperJob Summary:
As a Storekeeper you will be responsible for managing and organizing the inventory of goods
within the company's storage facility. This role involves maintaining accurate records, monitoring
stock levels, and coordinating with various departments to ensure timely supply and distribution.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing goods.Conduct regular stock checks to
ensure proper inventory levels.Monitor shelf life and conditions of stored items.
Order Processing:
Process and fulfill internal requisitions in a timely manner.Coordinate with suppliers
for timely delivery of ordered goods.Verify received orders against purchase orders.Organization
and
Maintenance:
Ensure the storage facility is organized and goods are easily
accessible.Implement proper storage techniques to prevent damage or spoilage.Conduct
routine inspections of the storage area for cleanliness and safety.
Documentation:
Keep detailed records of all transactions, including receipts and
withdrawals.Generate regular reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and discrepancies.
Communication:
Collaborate with various departments to understand their inventory
needs.Communicate effectively with suppliers, addressing any issues or discrepancies.
Quality Control:
Inspect incoming goods for quality and conformity to specifications.Report any
damaged or faulty items and coordinate returns or replacements.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Proven experience as a Storekeeper or similar role.Knowledge of inventory management
software.Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.Strong organizational and time
management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Physical ability to lift and move heavy items.
Education and Experience:High School Diploma or equivalent.Additional certification in logistics
or warehouse management is a plus.Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
Working Conditions:Typically works in a warehouse or storage facility.May require some
physical effort and lifting.Standard working hours with occasional overtime during peak periods.
