Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify all configuration items for the product
  • Support project teams to ensure work products are current, accurate and properly controlled
  • Configuration items for products are available to the team as needed
  • Ensure effective implementation of branching and merging strategy
  • Support project teams on CM related tool chain
  • Support project teams on version management
  • Support release process to deliver software and hardware to different customers
  • Perform CM audit and assist in implementation of the audit recommondations.
  • Assist in management, maintenance and automation of CM tools
  • Analyze configuration issues and propose appropriate resolutions
  • Analyze and provide the reuse status of configuration items
  • Other duties as defined by supervisor

Basic Qualifications:

  • REQUIRED Specific Knowledge, Expertise, Coursework
    • Hands on experience on configuration management activites for a multiple customer software product.
    • Knowledge of software and hardware versioning.
    • Knowledge of software build and configuration tools.
    • Knowledge of software and hardware development and release processes.
    • Self starter and self motivated.
    • Good interpersonal skills and can interface with peers, leadership, and customer teams.
    • Exemplary English verbal and written communications skills.

  • REQUIRED Degree and/or Training, including specifically defined educational equivalent
    • Bachelors degree in Electrical, Computer Engineering, or equivalent; Masters degree

  • REQUIRED Certifications/Licenses
    • None required.
    • Functional safety and/or ASPICE certifications are not required but would be beneficial to the role.

  • REQUIRED Specific Prior Experiences
    • 4+ years of experience working with embedded software or hardware.
    • 2+ years of configuration management experience.

  • REQUIRED Physical Demands
    • This position requires the ability to use a computer and other common office equipment
    • Ability to travel by airlines is required

  • ASPICE knowledge
  • Experience Software release tools such as Artifactory, Conan
  • Requirements expertise
  • Automotive software release experience
  • Customer focus, able to plan and organize, efficient, flexible / adaptable, reliable, motivated
  • Listening skills, teamwork skills, problem solving skills, communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a group and coordinate efforts with electrical, mechanical, and software engineers
  • Ability to speak comfortably, clearly, and confidently in front of an audience
