Position Description:

The Team Lead - Quality Assurance Engineers role is to provide quality assurance oversight and support business solutions that deliver a high-quality customer experience. This individual will be responsible for directing the work of the ETL QA Team and writing test plans and scripts, tracking defects and fixes in product development, software application development, information systems, and operations systems. The QA Engineer will apply proven analytical and problem-solving skills to help validate software development processes through careful testing to maximize the benefit of business investments in software development initiatives. Works independently to monitor and report software quality issues within the products supported by the team. Help to build and direct a team of ETL QA Engineers to ensure that assignments align with business priorities

Responsibilities

• Develop and establish quality assurance measures and testing standards related to data integrity data loads supported by the data services team.
• Adhere to established QA standards for software development, application integration, and information system performance, and corresponding documentation.
• Create and execute test plans and scripts that will determine optimal application performance according to specifications.
• Ensure that testing activities allow applications to meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfil end-user requirements, and identify existing or potential issues.
• Collaborate with software/systems personnel in application testing, such as system, regression, load, and acceptance testing methods.
• Make recommendations for improvement of applications to software developers or engineers.
• Communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to manager and team.
• Coordinate on QA and UAT process within the team.
• Review architecture and technical specifications for conflicts or issues that could affect quality.
• Perform acceptance testing and manage user testing when needed.

Requirements:

• BS in related field and 5+ years expert knowledge of: QA (ETL Testing), test case development, test execution and Software Development Life Cycle processes.
• 2+ years leading teams of QA Engineers.
• Excellent experience with quality assurance management.
• Intermediate MS SQL experience. Candidate should be able to perform ETL testing and validate source and target tables using complex SQL queries.
• Understanding of ETL concepts.
• Experience testing ETL processes.
• Great communication & collaboration skills.

• Experience with software development lifecycle methodologies, deliverables, controls.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Other Skills/Abilities:

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting/problem solving, and time management skills.
• Ability to self-direct, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks and demands.
• Experience with Agile methodologies is preferred.
• Knowledge of healthcare industry preferred

Additional Responsibilities:

• Lead team of ETL QA Engineers to facilitate on-time and efficient delivery of high-quality work products.
• Provide technical mentorship and coaching for members of the ETL QA team.
• Define best practices for ETL QA.
• Responsible for achieving schedule and functional objectives.
• Stay abreast of new technology trends and tools in the area of ETL testing.
