Data Engineer Elk Job in Growexx

GrowExx is looking for a smart and passionate Data Engineer (ELK), who will be working with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features and adopt the best practices of Test-Driven Development to guarantee robustness and stability of the code produced.

Key Responsibilities

• Overall responsible for the Implementation of the Tasks allocated during the sprint
• Ensure the software is developed confirming the project architecture, coding standards, and NFRs
• Support L3 engineer to analyze the User Requirements, NFRs, and Technical requirements for the project
• Identify any unknowns i.e. missing scenarios, etc and consult with PO to ensure those are defined either as a User story or UAC
• Identify ways to implement stories and select the approach that is best suited for the project. Consult with L4 as required
• Break down user stories along with the team to identify technical tasks
• Provide detailed estimates before the start of the sprints. Need to work with the Team to get the estimates
• Proactively pre-plan the sprints to achieve 90+% confidence in delivery
• Create Technical documents as required for the project in Jira, Confluence, or other tools
• Provide POs and ADMs with daily updates of the team via Jira and Slack
• Proactively communicate with other members of the team
• Provide HR and Management with any relevant information to help improve organization culture & performance

Key Skills

• Expert knowledge of Elastic Search, Logstash, Kibana, and AWS (from an infrastructure provisioning perspective)
• Experience in understanding how data is organized in a database and how to fetch it
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (Git/SVN/SourceSafe)
• Working with and extracting value from large, disconnected, and/or unstructured datasets, using Elastic search Indices, Elastic search APIs, Kibana Dashboards, Log stash
• Understanding of query DSL, index, mappings, and shared allocation, and segment
• Creating dashboards, reports alerts using Kibana or other available Elastic stack plugins
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker would be added advantage
• Building and optimizing big data pipelines (preferred)
• Integrating ELK with tools and APIs, for example for authentication and authorization
• Designing & Data Modelling, Bulk Document Indexing & Search APIs in Elastic Search
• Monitoring and Troubleshooting performance of Elastic Stack during Offshore support
• Maintain and enhance Elastic Stack (Elastic Search, Logstash, Kibana, Ingest Pipeline)
• Preferrable: knowledge of Tableau and snowflake

Education and Experience

• B Tech or B. E. (Computer Science / Information Technology)
• 3-5 years as a Database Developer or similar roles

• Must have good logical reasoning and analytical skills
• Good Communication skills in English both written and verbal
• Demonstrate Ownership and Accountability of their work
