Roles and Responsibilities

We are looking for an UI developer and UX designer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming. Responsibilities will include the designing and translation of the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application. You will work with the backend developers and bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works.

Responsibilities

Develop new user-facing features in HTML

Build reusable code and libraries for future use

Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs

Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability

Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end

Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders

Hands-on experience with Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and other UI design tools along with having an In-depth knowledge of visual, interface design and motion graphics.

Conceptualizing and implementing ideas for product or website promotions. Wireframing mockups with good creative skills and out of the box thinking ability.

Providing central ideas for campaigns including Social Media Banners, Google Banner, Layout Mockups, Wireframes, Flyers, Emailers, Micro-sites and Webinars.

Skills and Qualifications

Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3

Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS

Strong knowledge of web standards

Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them

Familiarity with differences in other HTML5 based views, such as ones in email clients

Knack of adhering to best design practices

Fair understanding of JavaScript programming and DOM manipulation

Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that the application will adhere to them

Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as{{Git / Mercurial / SVN}}

5+ years in-depth knowledge and experience of user interface design with consumer applications, preferably mobile devices, rich web apps/site, interactive TV within the media, telecommunications and broadband industries

Extensive knowledge and experience with driving and applying user-centred design processes while working collaboratively with customers, along with cross-functional teams including engineering, product management and user research

Working knowledge of design and prototyping tools, such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Flash, Flex and Visio

Proficient in a variety of methods to convey ideas and concepts (e.g. storytelling, storyboards, mood boards, prototypes, etc)

Demonstrable skills in illustration, photography, or diagrammatic expertise and iconography are an advantage.

Ability to articulate and justify ideas and design solutions to clients.
