Job Description

We are looking for a strong highly experienced Frontend Software Engineer to develop user experiences that are simple, fun, effective and at the same time very performant and reliable. You must be passionate about UX design and development and experienced in delivering large scale web-based UI solutions.

This role plays an important part in our companys product development initiatives for our merchants. Your main responsibilities will include updating existing functionality and building new features using agile best practices, leveraging various JavaScript Frameworks such as with ReactJS, Angular, Node and NPM to enhance the Merchant application user interface and Merchant platform tooling.

How you will spend your day:

  • Create technical specifications from requirements gathered from business

  • Produce software designs from technical specifications;

  • Develop, test and deploy solutions that meet business requirements and technical design

  • Support and help technical teams that integrate into the Merchant platform

  • Coach developers on professional topics;

  • Actively participate in code reviews and technical discussions that help improve code quality of the product and help the team to be more productive

  • Troubleshoot pre- and post-production implementations

  • Create clean, organized and modular code, leveraging current techniques, tools and libraries

  • Apply Web standards and best practices

  • Propose new ideas when there is strong business value and stay up to date on the latest technology trends and techniques

  • Be nimble and react quickly to changing business conditions

We are excited about you if you have:

  • 6+ years of experience designing, building, and operating large scale frontend applications

  • Experience creating responsive, modern user interfaces

  • Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles.

  • Experience with Angular. Other JavaScript Frameworks are a plus

  • Passionate about quality, testing and code reviews

  • Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them

  • Proficient in code versioning tools, preferably Git

  • Knowledge of web page performance techniques

  • Browser testing and debugging

  • Excellent teamwork skills

  • Good time management skills

  • Work experience in Agile Scrum methodologies is a plus

  • Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence is a plus

  • Self-motivated / starter attitude

  • Willingness to work on a truly global/remote team spread across many time zones and countries
