We are looking for a software engineer to join our team to support and evolve the design, implementation, and operational support of internal systems that span the business side and engineering departments.

Youll spend time on the following:

• You will develop compliance applications for the Groupon microservices ecosystem
• You will collaborate with teams in other organization to ensure that required business features and compliance rules are implemented effectively
• Build service artifacts, plan deployment, coordinate timeline and tasks with project management and teams
• Improve service stability by identifying critical service-specific metrics, setting meaningful alerting thresholds, and automating alerting responses
• Create and maintain documentation for your projects
• Mentor junior staff
• Drive the discussion and decisions of technical topics related to the team.

Were excited about you if you have:

• 6+ years of software development experience
• BS, or MS in Computer Science or equivalent
• Strong computer science fundamentals (Design Patterns, DS & Algos, Operating Systems)
• Possess creative problem-solving skills
• Possess good designing skills
• Excellent coding skills in Java programming language
• Good knowledge of one of the databases like MySql, Postgres etc.
• Good knowledge of NoSql databases and Caching solutions
• Knowledge in UI technologies like ReactJS is a plus
• Knowledge in the server-side scripting languages like Ruby on Rails is a plus
• Has excellent written and oral communication skills
