About the Consumer Engineering team:Given we are a consumer-centric organization, our team's prime focus is on - generating demand, creating a seamless shopping experience for the user, and finding opportunities to profitably deliver value to our customers. We build scalable systems that help us handle different amplitudes of demand during various sales and events. We have a modern tech stack and our teams work with an agile mindset - strongly aligned with business outcomes. With each team, you get the autonomy and the tools to work on product features and experiments, take them to our users in a short time, and use data to measure the outcomes of your code. Our primary Tech stack includes - Micro Services, Kubernetes, Python, Flask, Golang, Elastic Search, Java, Kotlin, React Native, and Typescript.
What you will do:
  • Work on cutting edge technical systems and learn handling scale
  • Prioritise, plan, execute and evaluate. And after all is done, document your learnings.
  • Take full ownership of your feature - coordinate with QA & design team, handle CI/CD issues, perform data analytics as and when required
  • Evolve as a professional through a learning and challenging journey
EXPERTISE AND QUALIFICATIONSWhat you need:
  • 1-3 years in Backend/Full stack development experience
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, design patterns, source control management, build processes, testing fundamentals
  • Expertise in any database, distributed system, queueing system
  • Capable of industry research and R&D on emerging technologies
  • Software development experience in building web services, distributed systems, and highly scalable applications
  • Strong technical, analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations and drive decisions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is needed
  • Experience in Python is a plus
  • Contributions in Open Source, GSOC projects are a plus.
