Job Summary About the role:As a part of our inventory planning team you will focus on improving our order planning and space efficiency. This will include the optimization of our inventory management systems and processes and need you to own key metrics like - current holdings, buying capacity, optimal utilization of storage space, and improvement of overall days of inventory.
It will call on your analytical acumen, business judgment and planning skills, and need you to build an understanding of supply chain and operational levers, with an eagerness to deep dive into solving complex problems.
What you will do everyday:
  • Manage inventory capacity planning processes while monitoring current holdings, buying capacity, optimal utilization of storage space, and improvement of overall days of inventory
  • Optimise supply chain costs related to inventory holding and handling
  • Build advanced data models for supply-chain network planning and replenishment of goods
  • Ensure the highest level of availability of SKU assortment offers to our consumers
  • Convert sales plan into inventory stocking plans
  • Coordinate with supply-chain operations team with respect to inbound and transfer capacity requirements
  • Improve capacity models to optimise the inbound and transfer costs
  • Build business continuity plans to prevent deviations in the overall inventory planning
EXPERTISE AND QUALIFICATIONSSkills you need to do the job:
  • Proficiency in using advanced MS Excel (Macro proficient) & SQL (hands-on experience in SAS and VBA is an added advantage)
  • Superior analytical skills, with demonstrated ability to dive in and quickly understand the root cause and identify scalable solutions
  • Have the strong numerical aptitude and high proficiency in creating and managing advanced statistical models
