Job Summary The GM - Project Planning & Execution is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of construction projects across Godrej Properties' West & East Zone (Pune, Nagpur, Ahmedabad, and Kolkata). You will lead a team to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities Project Planning & Scheduling: Develop and implement standardized project schedules across all West & East Zone projects. Utilize Primavera P6 or similar scheduling software. Monitor progress and ensure adherence to Master Schedule of Operations (MSO) commitments. Continuously improve project schedules for optimal quality and time delivery. Implement technological solutions to enhance project execution efficiency. Ensure process compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and construction guidelines. Conduct industry benchmarking to maintain competitive project timelines. MIS Management & Automation: Lead the automation and improvement of Management Information Systems (MIS) for streamlined reporting. Identify project progress gaps and proactively escalate critical issues (e.g., labor shortages, contract delays, design shortcomings, P&L variances). Facilitate smooth communication and collaboration among internal teams (planning, construction, finance) and external stakeholders (consultants, contractors). Ensure integration of quality processes into project schedules for timely execution. Support zonal teams in resolving site-specific construction challenges. Track and monitor progress on key project gaps across all West & East Zone projects. Ensure adherence to Project Control Plans (PCPs). Oversee last-mile delivery, ensuring project completion meets pre-defined USPs (Unique Selling Points) and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators). Prepare management presentations for project reviews, focusing on collection performance, quality assessments, and cost-benefit evaluations (CBE). Develop and replicate Management Committee (MC) reports with a focus on critical areas like finishing, labor shortages, contract award delays, and design revisions. Ensure consistency in MC reports across zonal teams. Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with consultants, contractors, and other key stakeholders to ensure smooth project progress. Collaborate effectively with internal teams (zonal & project teams) to identify and resolve bottlenecks. Foster seamless communication and coordination among all stakeholders for project success. Quality Control & Process Improvement: Integrate quality control processes into project schedules for comprehensive monitoring. Track and monitor project quality alignment with planned progress. Identify and address operational gaps through SOP revisions, updated guidelines, and process improvements. Collaborate with teams to optimize activity sequencing for improved quality and time efficiency. Recognition & Achievements: Develop and maintain a database of operational achievements. Facilitate recognition and reward processes for high-performing teams and individuals. Foster a culture of continuous improvement through a structured rewards and recognition framework. Required Qualifications Minimum 15 years of experience in construction project planning and execution, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Proven track record of managing multiple complex construction projects from concept to completion. Strong project management and scheduling skills (experience with Primavera P6 or similar software is preferred). Expertise in MIS automation and the ability to utilize data for informed decision-making. Proven problem-solving and escalation management skills in the real estate or construction industry. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, both internally and externally. In-depth knowledge of quality control processes and their integration with project schedules. Strong technological aptitude with a willingness to explore and implement new solutions. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a meticulous attention to detail.
