Job Summary

JOB PURPOSE

Provide assurance to the Management w.r.t the adequacy of internal controls in the existing processes, report weaknesses and give suggestions for improvements towards optimization of processes with the objective of cost / manpower savings and eliminate the possibilities of revenue leakages. Also provide assurance that the statutory compliances are done timely and accurately and that the functions are carried out in line with the Company s defined policies and SOPs, report deviations, if any, for corrective actions.

Key Performance Indicators

Preparation of Annual Audit Plan and Operations Strategy

Prepare the Annual Audit Plan considering the sensitivity, business needs and other parameters. Finalize scope, audit programs and audit check list of each audit area envisaged in the Plan.

Comprehensive coverage of all major audit areas in the Annual Audit Plan.

Execution of Audits and finalization of Reports

Conduct audits with reference to Annual Audit Plan and the envisaged timeframe. Issue the Draft report indicating the issues observed during the course of audit. After obtaining auditee s reply against each observation, prepare final report for issuance.

Completion of audits as per the Annual Audit Plan.

Compliance:

Assure Management that the Sector ensures statutory compliance of all relevant laws and regulations

Ensure compliance through third party and internal audits

Represent in Audit Committees / BCM Reviews

Present the major audit observations in the quarterly Audit Committees / BCM reviews. Take note of the instructions and comply with them within the stipulated timeframe.

Satisfactory representation in Audit Committees and Reviews. Comply with the instructions within the time line.

INTERNAL INTERACTIONS

Internal - Roles you need to interact with inside the organization to enable success in your day to day work

Interact with Department Heads on a regular basis to understand their needs and the issues being faced by them so that the same could be addressed in the subsequent audit.

FINANCIAL DIMENSIONS

While auditing, following financial data of the concerned departments are verified.

  • Assets acquired and sold
  • Cash and Bank balances
  • Investments made in FDs, Mutual Fund, etc.
  • Secured & Unsecured Loans taken
  • Loans & Advances given to employees and other Group Companies
  • Statutory Compliances
  • Major Income & Expenses
  • AOP vs. Actuals

OTHER DIMENSIONS

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

  • CA / ICWA

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

  • 12+ total years of experience with at least 3 years experience in leading the team in an Infrastructure / Energy (Power) company.
