Job Summary
Role and Responsibilities:
- Serve as key contributor to monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
- Review month-end reconciliations including but not limited to, accrued expenses, prepaids, and fixed assets
- Review journal entries and month-end reconciliations prepared by the accounting staff
- Assist with the global consolidation of the company s subsidiaries and preparation of consolidated financial statements
- Provide meaningful analysis for subsidiary and corporate level financial statements
- Assist finance team on numerous projects, including the implementation of new ERP system, the financial statement audit, design of internal controls, and process improvements
- Communicate with department leads to identify potential accruals
- Provide oversight to operational accounting functions, including accounts payable and cash reconciliation
- Document and improve current accounting processes and policies
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency, streamline workflows and controls, and continually identify opportunities for automation
- Exhibit flexibility and willingness to take on new responsibilities and assignments as they are identified and to assist with various ad-hoc projects as needed
Required Skillset:
- 5+ years ofaccounting experience, preferably at a large (Big 4) public accounting firm
- CPA designation required
- Bachelor s degree in accounting required
- Experience with U.S. GAAP and working with U.S. companies
- Experience with multi-national, multi-currency transactions and consolidations is preferred
- Experience working with publicly traded companies
- Excellent verbal and written English language
- Experience in collaborating with remote colleagues and employees globally
- If based out of India, must work modified hours to align with U.S. corporate team
- Must thrive in a rapid-paced and dynamic business environment
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to direct and supervise
- Ability to solve practical problems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
