Job Summary
Roles and Responsibilities
- Accountability for Pre close activities and checks
- Performing early actuals process and identifying key variances in the results and key items to monitor throughout the close.
- Reviewing data inputs and making the appropriate configuration and mapping updates
- Monitoring the receipt of the data inputs the processing and submission and ensuring timely completion and escalation
- Maintaining continuous reconciliation and control throughout the close process to proactively identify and fix problems.
- Reviewing the end product and communicating any known data issues or results variances to stakeholders.
- Undertaking a post month end close review of all DQ variances (including URISs) and ensuring timely communication to relevant Paris and Group teams.
- Taking responsibility to follow up and close DQ issues with stakeholders.
- Manage changes in the processes by working with stakeholders proactively, including the change and production teams.
- Work on projects to automate and streamline areas of the month-end process
- Participating in forums or attestation processes as the representative of Wholesale business finance.
- Internal reporting deadlines met in a consistent manner.
- Clear and early communication of the month end results and variances.
- Process improvement initiatives deliver tangible improvement in control environment and reduction in BAU effort.
Desired Candidate Profile
Customers / Stakeholders
- GB&M and CMB Business Finance and FP&A
- Group and regional Business Finance teams and change leads (GB&M, Banking, M&SS, CMB)
- Other finance stakeholders in France involved in the end to end finance processes including ALCM, Operational Accounting and Product Control
- High quality and accurate information communicated to line management and stakeholders within required deadlines any queries dealt with effectively
Leadership & Teamwork
- Strong planning, management and execution of all elements of the month end process
- Management of professional development of team personnel
- Ability to lead and deliver initiatives across Business Finance
- Deadlines met in a sustainable way with few issues identified from senior management review
- Delivery of allocated initiative
