Responsibilities

In this role, you would be responsible for providing Enhancement & Development services in a Java/Database environment during regular hours. Candidate will be working with SMEs, Business Analyst, module developers & Users complete end-to-end SDLC for Capital Market Client.

Additional responsibilities shall include contributing in designing and documenting of the software architecture based on existing architecture and inputs received from Client from time to time. Perform unit testing, integration testing and UAT as and when required. Also, engage with Client in requirement gathering, Status update on work, UAT and be the key partner in the overall engagement.

Minimum qualifications

BE/B Tech/MCA

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred qualifications

• Knowledgeable and skilled in software development practices and techniques.
• Strong in AWS Cloud based technologies such as: (EMR and Big Data processing)
• Strong in Java, Spark/Scala
• Experience with Hadoop or related technologies
• Experience with trouble shooting production issues and technical problems.
• Knowledge of Regression, System, User Acceptance and Performance testing.
• Knowledge of Relational Databases (Oracle, MS SQL Server)
• Ability to do code reviews and alignment to standards.
• Solid foundation in software design, data structures, and algorithms
• Excellent ability to participate and cooperate in a team environment.
• Good to have: Familiarity of Data warehouse and dimensional database design, Python Programming language
• Shown proficiency in analyzing requirements and crafting effective test plans and test cases; excellent problem solving skills.
• Knowledge of financial industry and UNIX will be a plus.
• Good understanding of the capital markets is a plus
• Comfortable working with offshore teams
• Good interpersonal and client relationship management skills
• Ability to articulate potential solution designs to both technology professionals and business partners
• Ability to perform within a team setting, as well as independently with minimal supervision
• Experience with driving projects and handling multiple work in a fast-paced setting
• Candidate must be comfortable challenging status quo when warranted and must be eager to own a lead role on important business-impacting IT initiatives.
• One who is Passionate about technology, problem solving, ability to adapt new skills, sharing expertise and knowledge!
• Excellent client facing skills that include conducting compelling technical briefing & demonstrations. The person should have a technical curiosity to implement new technologies and articulate the solutions to the client!
