Job Summary

Roles and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hardware Design & Development

  • Driving design of new hardware boards, tools, modules and test platforms.

  • Working on hardware platforms development from concept, schematic design, testing through to successful manufacturing engaging with partners and suppliers as necessary.

  • Serve as a Technical Lead contributing to and directing the efforts of development teams.

  • Remain current on new technologies and available vendor packages; evaluate and make recommendations as necessary.

  • Assist in task planning, estimation, scheduling, and staffing.

  • Mentor Hardware Engineers to allow for skill/knowledge development through advice, coaching, and training opportunities.

  • Determine process improvements, best practices, and develop new processes.

  • Requirement Gathering,Review customer's block diagrams, design specifications, schematics, layout and provide feedback & estimate in developing the solution.

  • Create internal design documentation and presentations, including diagrams with technical explanations.High and Low-Level Design Documentation

  • Create and confidently deliver technical presentations internally and externally

  • Participate in feasibility, cost and reliability analyses of product proposals to influence decisions related to design tradeoffs and specifications.

  • Managing team of up to 6-7 People

Essential skills:
  • Embedded Design and development experience - Microcontrollers, Microprocessors.

  • Strong Electrical/Electronic engineering fundamentals.

  • Proven experience in designing Hi-Speed Mixed / Digital Boards based on Device Data Sheet.

  • Analog Circuit understanding and knowledge of schematics design.

  • Good awareness of hardware blocks like RC circuits and Opamp topologies

  • Experience in board Design around Microcontroller, Microprocessors and FPGA's.

  • SMPS design concepts

  • Good knowledge on development tools - compiler, MPLAB etc

  • Proficiency with control system designs, filters

  • Hands-on experience in one or more of the industry standard Hi-Speed interfaces such as DDR-2, DDR-3, SATA, USB 2.0, USB 3.0, Display Port, PCI-e, GB-Ethernet (10BASE-T / 100BASE-TX/ 1000BASE-T) Wi-Fi, Bluetooth etc.

  • Experience with Inverter or UPS designs would be a plus

  • Proficiency with Hi-Speed measurements and related Lab Equipment's

  • Good mentoring, Communication Skill and Teamwork

  • Experience in designing, implementing, testing circuits as per the related compliance standard
