Roles and Responsibilities

Business Intelligence:As a Business Intelligence (BI) incumbent, you will be focused on helping our company scale through the effective use of BI tools and services.This will help us continue to help small business owners find lending options so they can make payroll during tough times, scale to meet market demands and making large purchases to scale their operations.The ideal candidate has strong background in quantitative skills (like statistics, mathematics, economics and/or advanced computing), technical skills (Alteryx, Tableau, Qlik, DOMO, Python, Power BI, Spotfire, SQL), brings domain expertise (banking & financial sector), has strong interpersonal and influencing skills, able to speak the language of the business and has delivered BI reports for commercial decision making.What You ll Do This role will give you endless opportunities to take on new responsibilities, learn new skills, and mentor others. Your teammates/colleagues will be distributed in NY, VA and Chennai. Forming partnerships with senior business stakeholders across businesses to comprehensively understand their areas of operation; and guiding articulation of business reports and recommendations Developing and enhancing the BI framework which meets the requirements of various external & internal stakeholders. Ensuring timely and accurate delivery of BI reports. Interpreting the insights and recommending actions for consideration by the senior leadership Providing requirements and designing inputs, particularly with respect to generation of insights. Reporting insights as part of the extended team for various functions Clearly articulating the challenges/opportunities in business/function that can be supported by BI and the role BI plays in multi-faceted and multi team projects Supporting identification of BI opportunities through a strong understanding of business value chain and challenges, data availability & quality and partnerships with subject matter experts Understanding business governance and control structures & selecting the right analytical approaches which are consistent with businesses control/governance framework Understanding business KPI's, frameworks and drivers for performance Contributing to our living knowledgebase of technical documentation, business/data processes and repository maintenance Leveraging & integrating technology to address business requirementsAbout You: You are an internally motivated BI expert. Business Intelligence and penchant for numbers are firmly rooted in the way you think and work. Passion for your craft will go a long way in making you successful in this role. You have advanced degree(s) in Statistics, Engineering, Economics, Finance or related areas expertise in Business Intelligence and Visualization platforms - Mandatory : Alteryx, Tableau, SQL, Good to Have : Python, Power BI, Spotfire, QlikView. over the past 3+ years been busy designing and implementing best-in-class instances of BI, possibly for a financial service or a fintech company a track record of successfully delivering high number of BI projects both individually and through teams a deep understanding of industry/function and associated processes, data and systems been constantly learning & working to keep your skills up to date inherit ability to solve complex problems an experimental mindset that spurs you to test ideas and validate assumptions using data a drive for technology to design and implement great solutions an understanding that for solutions to be successful, they must meet real needs and drive meaningful business value great communication and collaboration skills, an innate sense of curiosity, and an obsession with delivering solutions that bring end-users joy a successful history of manipulating, processing and extracting value from large disconnected datasets
