Job Description The IT Compliance and Data Protection Officer is responsible for ensuring that the company's IT policies are compliant with ISO standards and data protection regulations. This role involves overseeing the development, implementation, and review of IT policies, as well as ensuring data privacy and protection across the organization. Key Responsibilities: Develop and Manage IT Policies: Create and enforce IT policies compliant with ISO standards and data protection laws. Data Privacy and Protection: Lead initiatives to secure data at rest, in transit, and during processing. Ensure compliance with GDPR, CCPA, or other relevant privacy regulations. Policy Implementation: Work with IT and operational teams to ensure effective implementation of IT policies. Monitor compliance levels and instigate corrective actions as needed. Policy Review and Updating: Periodically review and update IT policies to keep them current and effective. Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to communicate the status of IT compliance and data protection initiatives. Risk Management: Evaluate IT and data risks and propose mitigation strategies. Reporting: Report compliance and risk statuses to senior management. Qualifications: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. At least five years of experience in IT, with a minimum of three years in compliance or data protection roles. Strong knowledge of ISO standards and data protection regulations. Excellent communication skills. Optional: Certifications like CISSP, CISM, or CIPM are a plus.
