    Role Summary/Purpose:
      Are you our next talented and highly motivated Aerodynamic specialist ready to lead & drive Aero technology initiatives & capability projects while working closely with our blade technical account managers, manufacturing plants and our service team in maximizing the value of LM blades? Here is an opportunity. As Technical Lead - Aerodynamics, you will be part of Aerodynamics & Acoustics team located in Bangalore, India within Front End Engineering organization of LM Wind Power.
    Essential Responsibilities:
      As Technical Lead Aerodynamics, you will be part of highly qualified and experienced team working towards customer fulfillment, supporting our plants towards fulfilling Aero quality requirements, building new strategic capabilities towards measurements, field testing and validation and driving new technology initiatives.In this role, some of your key responsibilities will be to:
      1. Actively engage with our Blade technical account managers and LM service team towards pre-sales and after-sales customer fulfillment on aero related requests.
      2. Lead aero technology projects while working in a highly cross-functional environment & deliver towards new technology development & capabilities thereby maximizing the value of LM blades.
      3. Support our world class blade manufacturing plants during blade ramp-up operations & ensure meeting the blade aero design CTQs.
      4. Work closely with our aero designers towards maximizing the turbine AEP through optimizing the aero add-ons, turbine operation controls while meeting the aero safety limits.
      5. Drive various continuous improvements initiatives in the aero engineering processes and maintain documentation of all aero related work products.
    Qualifications/Requirements:

      1. Masters in Mechanical/Aerospace engineering with strong background in Aerodynamics.
      2. 6+ years of experience in aerodynamics, preferably low speed aerodynamics.
      3. Support the blade manufacturing plants in blade performance assessments and measurements techniques working closely with quality teams.
      4. Disposition the assessment reports at high priority with various aerodynamic tools (panel methods, BEM, CFD)
      5. Comprehensive knowledge and competencies in Wind turbine Aerodynamics or similar turbo machinery area,
      6. Demonstrated expertise to lead projects/initiatives towards new technology development
      7. Willingness to visit our blade factory/turbine site environment on need basis providing hands-on solutions towards solving aero related problems.
      8. Independent completion of tasks ensuring compliance to our existing process but also challenging the known processes to drive LM forward.
      9. You will have global mind-set and work well with our colleagues from all over the world
      10. Strong communication skills with attentiveness to customers' needs
    Desired Characteristics:

      Strong knowledge of wind turbine aerodynamics
      International experience working with leading wind turbine manufacturers
      Work experience in any of the CAD packages such as NX (Unigraphics)/CATIA is desirable.
      Experience in CFD tools and programming using C/C++/Python
      Being innovative & pragmatic in providing aero solutions
      Experience in product life cycle management (PLM) tools is desirable.
      Additional certifications such as Six Sigma Green belt and Project Management certification is desirable
