Job Summary

Role Summary:

This role will own management of the systems classification program with the goal of reducing risk to Gas Power ensuring that business applications are appropriately identified for internal and external compliance requirements. A qualified candidate possesses a strong background in risk and compliance, project management skills, as well as familiarity with cloud environments.

Essential Responsibilities:

Asset Management
  • Manage and maintain key attributes for Cyber Security business applications within GE Gas Power
  • Assemble a team of risk analysts across all GE business units to serve as the Risk and Compliance team maintaining the compliance functionality within the Asset Management system for the company
  • Communicate changes to the asset management system and inform impacted individuals on new functionality
  • Own the GE Gas Power Asset Management Standard and maintain asset requirements and alignment with GE Corporate
  • Perform annual system classification reviews to ensure applications are identified and must be compliant with internal and external cyber requirements
  • Remediate data inconsistencies between the asset repository (SN) and the IT Asset and Application management and planning tool (PlanET) for Gas Power with the assistance of the Infrastructure team
Cloud Data Governance
  • Review data moving to various cloud platforms to determine if sensitive data exists
  • Facilitate quarterly sensitive data scans of various cloud environments for subsequent evaluation and action
  • Provide guidance on the definition of and appropriate controls for sensitive data
BOT Governance
  • Perform risk assessments on Robotics Process Automation (RPA) project to reduce security risks within Gas Power
  • Provide go/no go decision on BOT deployments

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in MIS, computer science, or related field
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience delivering, deploying or supporting IT systems involving GE compliance (internal) or Regulatory (external) requirements

Experience interacting & engaging directly with all levels of the organization
Working knowledge of a variety of regulations, control frameworks and requirements, such as SOX, NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, ISO 27001
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with technical and non-technical communities
Understanding of emerging technologies and their impact on various frameworks
Creative problem solver with strong data analysis skills including the ability to design and deploy analytics
Experience working in large global environments spanning multiple time zones
Possess a strong commitment to getting the job done right, delivering on commitments and acting with a sense of urgency
Self-directed. Ability to thrive in an unstructured environment, comfortable dealing with ambiguity
