Position Summary


The WMS Technical Analyst is responsible for leading the WMS implementation, will actively participate in the WMS technical design, Tech Stack assessment, hardware sizing assessment, Unix/Linux environment setup, deployment director management, SDN installs, application alerts and monitoring, store procedures, shell scripts, Manhattan Integration Framework (MIF), Jasper and SCI report development and maintenance for WMS implementation projects. Serve as the technical expert on Manhattan Associates (MA) Warehouse Management System (WMOS- SCOPE), based on an in-depth knowledge of WMS technical environment.


Main Responsibilities


  • Identify technical requirements of the MA WMS application.
  • Collaborate with client s team during software design process to understand technical requirements, tech stack, hardware sizing, host integration queues, MHE integration, etc.
  • Document requirements for cron jobs, shell scripts, integration requirements, Jasper report, SCI reports, report distribution, alerts, etc.
  • Lead implementation from dev environment setup through production installation.
  • Works directly with the customer project team during configuration, testing, training, and implementation phases.
  • Configure and Implement Manhattan technical parameters.
  • Analyze and review WMS host Integration mappings and configure the integrations mapping in WMS, set the messaging queues, configuration director, etc.
  • Configure RF/Mobile/ Touch devices, work stations, printers, print queues, print requestors, etc.
  • Develop design, configuration, standard application, OS, DB and MIF level alerts
  • Monitor application performance and improve response times.
  • Review-analysis-monitoring of core dump, cron jobs, app directory files sizes and clean up.
  • Manage cores, threading and server level parameters.
  • Troubleshoot WMS issues, research Java, UI, session, server logs.
  • Collaborate with Manhattan technical teams.
  • Create and maintain tickets (CRs) and install Manhattan SDNs, OS level patch/fixes.
  • Manage data migration for cutover/upgrade implementation


Experience and Qualifications


  • 3 + years experience of Manhattan Associates (MA) WMOS implementations.
  • Excellent knowledge of WMS applications environment with Unix/Linux tech stacks.
  • Experience of Manhattan SDN install, OS level patch/fixes install.
  • Excellent knowledge of Batch jobs/ Cron jobs / scripts used in association to WMS/TMS
  • Understanding of WMS DB, ability to develop/enhance Store procedures, functions, triggers, etc.
  • Understanding of App Dynamics or similar tools for setting and monitoring alert.
  • Experience with WMS Jasper Reports/ Supply Chain Intelligence reporting tools.
  • Experience with Host WMS & WMS - TMS Integration using Manhattan Integration Framework
  • Understanding of EDI and integration technologies / methodologies related to WMS systems
  • Experience of setting purges & archives for WMS DB objects.
  • Experience troubleshooting WMOS applications, research Java, UI, session, server logs, etc.
  • Experience with a continuous engineering or other agile methods to keep pace with frequent changes and to reduce complexity.
