Job Summary
The DBA is responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical Client and corporate SQL Server RDBMS systems. Their main goal is to ensure the availability and consistent performance of SAP Business one and related applications. Database maintenance to be performed either one time or recurring basis Indexing, creation and rebuild temp db optimization, Identifying expensive, long running and blocking queries that could impact performance Review SQL server statistics for database latency Review operating environment (CPU, disk. RAM) Review SQL tasks for data and log backups Review and remediate database and log fragmentation Maintain backup and recovery process, including disaster recovery performance and tuning of database and application Troubleshooting of database related issues ie slowness, crashing, etc On-call support to maintain coverage of the database environment
