About the team

Planning is a central team responsible for creating business plans & forecasts to enable decision making

& operational readiness. The team strives to build balanced plans to optimize superior customer

experience, supply chain reliability & operating costs.

The position requires an individual to have relevant supply chain experience and expertise to

enable scientific decision making and performance improvement measures.

The role involves high interaction with other Flipkart teams & necessitates a collaborative individual who can

build robust plans, understand complex tech products, build system configurations, negotiate and

influence business partners across different functions at Flipkart.

About the role

Broadly the person would be responsible for demand and supply plan at last mile network of Ekart.The role entails studying demand trends on last mile hubs across flipkart network and aiding with the generation of pincode demand for last mile network. Developing a capacity plan from the demand so as to support last mile speed and cost targets. Liaising with stakeholders to get alignment on the final plan and execution of the plan within guardrails of speed, cost and reliability.

The person will also be required to bring in new ways to making processes efficient and drive more value in last mile leg of supply chain

What youll do:

Supply Chain

  • Understand key drivers of Supply Chain from demand and supply side
  • Build input driven scientific plan/forecast for supply chain & monitor key supply chain metrics
  • Innovate new ways of working to improve forecasts & optimize supply chain cost, reliability & speed.
  • Work with stakeholder teams to bring consensus and finalize planning numbers with all functional stakeholders aligned
  • Closely monitor key metrics of Supply Chain with internal and external stakeholders
  • Own areas of improvement as part of S&OP team and recommend changes
  • Build planning configurations in tech products to ensure smooth supply chain execution
  • Understand product interactions & drive business use case led improvements with product

Analytics

  • Ability to analyse large data and convert into simple presentable forms
  • Proficient in problem solving involving large data sets & advanced optimization
  • Proficient in MS-Excel, R/SAS
