Job Summary
Qualification : Bachelors degree in engineering and 3-5 years equivalent engineering related work experience in hardware / manufacturing as an OEM or, ideally, as a contract manufacturer.
The Role: Associate Technical Program Manager
You will play a pivotal role in managing high-mix, low-volume projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet customer requirements. You will act as a liaison between Fictiv's builders (customers) and manufacturing partners.
Responsibilities:
- Manage projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and timeline.
- Mitigate risks and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure on-time delivery.
- Assign work orders to qualified manufacturing partners based on project requirements.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and answer questions from manufacturers.
- Manage change orders and implement modifications while minimizing risks.
- Identify areas for improvement and drive workflow enhancements.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering with 3-5 years of experience in hardware/manufacturing (OEM or contract manufacturing preferred).
- Strong team orientation and excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Experience working in a night shift environment.
- Fluency in English and experience in multicultural environments.
- Experience with at least 3 of the following manufacturing processes:
- 3D Printing (Mandatory)
- CNC Machining (Mandatory)
- Rapid Tooling (Preferred)
- Injection Molding (Preferred)
- Urethane Casting (Preferred)
- Sheet Metal Fabrication (Preferred)
- Proven project management skills in scope, timing, and quality management.
- Understanding of quality management, testing, and logistics.
- Experience managing project requirements, stakeholder expectations, and communication.
- Experience with low-volume parts and prototypes (preferred).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a results-oriented mindset.
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to manage tight deadlines.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a focus on documentation.
- Data-driven decision making and a self-starting work style.
- Adaptability and ability to work effectively with ambiguous processes.
- Ability to improve the reliability and flexibility of existing systems.
