  • 3+ years of experience with programming in Java
  • 3+ years of experience with designing and building Android apps
  • Experience with Android SDK and frameworks is a must
  • Knowledge of other web technologies and UI/UX standards
  • Understanding of Android s design principles and interface guidelines
  • Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
  • Knowledge of low-level C-based libraries is preferred
  • Experience with performance and memory tuning with apple provided profiling tools
  • . Experience with building robust push notification system
  • Experience with integrating Android s payment subscriptions
  • . Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
  • . Familiarity with React Native is a huge plus
  • Familiarity with Firebase to build Android apps
  • Familiarity with AWS cognito
  • . Experience with social media integration for signup and login.
  • Knack for benchmarking and optimization
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git
  • Familiarity with continuous integration
  • Understanding accessibility and security compliance
  • Experience working in an agile development environment
  • Familiarity with popular AWS services is a plus
  • Excellent logical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills is a must
  • Excellent writing skills is a must

Job Role

  • Design and build native applications for the Android platform
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
  • Collaborate with a team to define, design, and ship new features
  • Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
  • Closely work with designers to understand user experience of the app
  • Unit test Android app
  • Build automation tests against app using well known open source tools
  • Build CI/CD jobs to automate deployment of Android app
  • Interfacing with US based client via email/slack/call
