Energy Market Analyst (data) Job in Energy Exemplar

Key Accountabilities and Duties Calibrate dataset results and add forecast data to produce market analytics datasets Set up and run PLEXOS; troubleshoot modelling issues and work iteratively to calibrate the results against expected or actual market outcomes Desktop research on energy markets, policy and operation across Europe to provide calibration results Work with the technical and data teams to improve data quality, improve processes and automation and also to improve reports and documentation Design and produce calibration reports Review energy markets & fundamentals, gathering data and curating them into energy models for analysis Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience Analytical skills and enthusiasm for working with complex models Pro-active approach to problem solving Excellent Excel skills (programming skills not required) Database skills Forecasting & modelling of energy markets PLEXOS (or similar simulation or production cost) modelling experience EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Masters Degree (or demonstrated experience) in Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Mathematical Science Analytical role Electricity or gas or fuels market analysis and/or forecasting Consulting experience or client-facing role Key Stakeholder Relationships This role works collaboratively with all Energy Exemplar staff, particularly: European data team Indian Development Centre, based in Pune, particularly Team Albatross Insights team Solution Engineering
