Senior Design Engineer Ii/team Lead, Engineering Drawings,pressure Relief Valves Job in Emerson Electric Co.

Job description : Act as a Checker/Approver for all deliverables(Drawings, 3D models, Engineering Technical documents/procedures etc.) ensuring alignment with project specifications or requirements and drive the team to meet Quality standards Define Key Performance Index for Team members. Monitor and drive the Engineers to achieve and improve Quality of work done and keep them challenged enough. Identify skill gaps and Train/Mentor Team members in Engineering Standards, procedures, Engineering Tools and software supporting CAD Track and generate performance reports for the Design/Drawing team, Perform RCA and CAPA wherever necessary and encourage continuous process improvement in the Team. Collaborate with multiple stakeholders and delegate tasks to team members to get the job done. Active management of team workload Identify opportunities for automation to improve current work process Effective Performance Management for team members Be the Key Point of Contact for assigned WA for feedback, technical issues, Backlogs discussion etc. Identify Opportunities and bring in more challenging scope to the team. Maintain records of all project works done. Knowledge and skills : Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Instrumentation Engineering Minimum work experience of 6+ years in relevant industry. Experience in design and Customer Drawings related roles will be an added expereince Knowledge of pressure relief valves and regulators Basics of SAP Knowledge of ASME codes and standards related to relief valves and those governing design engineering Supervision : Will be required to delegate work, engage,track and monitor performance etc of direct reports. Relationships : Maintain good working relationship with functional manager in Stafford factory Work with product managers for techncial clarifications Work with project managers and documentation teams to set expectations Assist the Quotation team with technical queries and interactions with FCEC MGMT team for site initiatives
