Our client is looking for a Social and Product Compliance Manager in Mumbai to implement and manage assigned luxury/fashion Client s social, ethical and chemical programs and provide on-site support to factories and sub-contractors in India. Appointed delegate also acts as local contact point for the client assigned project. This role will be in 6-month contract for 2-3 days per week and will be adjusted according to the business needs.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for implementation, review and improvement of the compliance program around social, ethical, and chemical compliance
- Formulate and draft the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to provide on-the-ground guidance to local factories on how to implement client program
- Undertake compliance assessments at factories & sub-contractors based on ELEVATE compliance assessment procedures and specific client expectations
- Improve overall program effectiveness and satisfy client expectation
- Support in implementing client s process to assess supplier chemical compliance
- Act as the local contact for client assigned project and constantly report the status of the project and special issues
Qualifications
- Degree holder or above in any disciplines, textile/chemical engineering, garment technology is preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English
- 5+ years of program/account management experience, and knowledge in Ethical Sourcing/ Labor Compliance/ Environmental arena/Chemical compliance either for a brand/ consultancy / textile industry
- In-depth knowledge of hand-embroidery or textile
- Experience in SLCP, ISO 14001 and a Higg verifier is absolutely an advantage
- Trackable record on implementation of social and chemical compliance projects
- Strong communication skills to present technical concepts across all levels within the organization
- Good interpersonal skills and able to work independently
- Good team player, capable of working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Demonstrate can-do and flexible attitude
- An energetic, efficient, motivated self-starter
- Must possess strong work ethic and good client service skills to ensure effective and responsive client interaction (internal and external)
- Good data analytics skill and working knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Immediate available is highly preferred
