Job Summary
Roles and Responsibilities
Core responsibilities
- Transportation: aggregated transportation capacity creation for the given territory, develop other modes of transportation, territory transportation margins
- Partnerization: partner identification, capability & fitment evaluation, drive own asset investment, partner relationship management, audits & periodic pay outs.
Key deliverables
- Transportation: lane wise capacity creation as per plan, vehicle availability, fleet operators onboarding, vehicle lease contracts, transportation margins & P&L
- Partnerization: partner establishment as per agreed timelines, partner retention, partner investment profile, additional business opportunities to partner, monthly audits, deductions & incentives
Role description transportation
- Identify demand side requirements & translate the requirements into lane wise transportation requirements for different vehicle capacities.
- Create a steady stream of transport vendors lane wise as per required demand, which will cater for the demand.
- Explore different vendor channels (fleet operators, transporters & agents) & onboard vendors across the channels
- Ensure timely availability of vehicles of the desired capacity which will help in fulfilling the demand
- Study lane wise rate patterns, identify opportunities for rate optimization with vendors & drive transportation margins
- Identify opportunities for leasing out vehicles across viable lanes to achieve better transportation margins
Role description - partnerization
- Identify potential partners with entrepreneurship abilities & adequate investment appetite to work on the desired model.
- Evaluate partners for capabilities, experience & fitment to work on the partnerization model across the network
- Ensure proper training to partner & his/her team & smooth transitioning from training period to full-fledged operations.
- Identify additional business opportunities for the partner & ensure business sustenance for partners
- Schedule team visits & periodic audits of partner operated warehouses for stock & process audits.
- Drive relationship with partner & help partners to achieve better operational efficiency
