We exist to improve the ease of living in our towns and cities and our digital products play a part in solving some of the most endemic problems that our cities face. eGov s open Digital Platform, DIGIT, and the products built on it have already seen great impact in several states, across service areas such as water connections, trade licenses, obtaining certificates, building plan approvals, payment of municipal taxes, resolution of civic complaints, etc.
Product Managers will work closely with internal and external stakeholders and partners to build digital products that catalyse the collective energy of the ecosystem to bring about impact at scale.
Job Description
The role of a Product Manager is to take complete ownership of the product, working with cross-functional teams of designers, developers, marketers, policy advocates, and other external and internal stakeholders.
You will conduct market research, speak with potential users of the product, analyse data, own the product roadmap, build wireframes, write product requirements, work on feature prioritization, build launch plans, look at product adoption and use, iterate, measure progress and drive all stakeholders to ensure product success.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE
You will need a combination of skills, practical experience and knowledge to be successful in this role.
Some of these are listed below
- You have worked in a digital product function or with a digital product team and have seen how an idea shapes into a digital product;
- You are good with user and market research and analysing data;
- You have experience in a planning role and are comfortable with owning timelines;
- You have built business models, business plans and have managed a budget;
- You understand product adoption and the key levers that influence it;
- You have a very good understanding of digital analytics and are hands-on with it;
- You have experience in a Product Owner role working with cross-functional stakeholders and briefing designers, developers, delivery team, testing team and external partners;
- You are energetic, have a bias towards action and are able to combine intellectual curiosity with practical responsibilities of delivering the product on time

How many years of working experience is required for this role?
We believe you should have been in a product role for at least 5 years before moving on to a Product Manager role. If you have lesser experience, but feel that you are up for the challenge, do apply. We will consider your application for all positions within the product function, including that of the Product Manager. Likewise, do apply even if you have more than 7-8 years of experience as a product manager. We will consider your application for a more senior role where greater experience is required.
Are There Specific Educational Requirements, Like an MBA, Engg. Degree, etc.?
No. While these are good markers, we do not use educational degrees as qualifying criteria.
