Job Summary
Summary The Salesforce Developer will be responsible for the design, development and support of applications that will run on the Salesforce. This also includes portal which is built on Salesforce communities leveraging the Force.com platform.
- Collaborate and align with platform architects, technical leads and developers to translate business requirements into smart solutions on Salesforce
- Develop, enhance, debug, support, maintain and test software applications that support business units or supporting functions (these application program solutions may involve diverse development platforms, software, hardware, technologies and tools)
- Develop Salesforce solution using out-of-box features and custom development with Apex, Visualforce, JavaScript and other force.com programming languages
- Provide technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing technology solutions including integrations with other enterprise software solutions
- Build and develop web services using REST, SOAP and other Salesforce APIs to support various integration points with other systems
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including discovery, analysis, requirements definition, solution design, configuration, code development, testing, peer code review, deployment and support
- Bachelor s Degree in technical area or equivalent job experience
- 6+ years of experience working in an IT environment
- 4+ years of experience on Salesforce & Force.com platform
- 2+ years of experience in custom development on Force.com platform using Apex, Visualforce, JavaScript, JQuery, CSS, HTML
- 2+ years of experience in Salesforce configuration and administration
- 2+ years of experience with Agile or iterative development methodologies
- Experience and familiarity with Salesforce out-of-box features including Sales & Service cloud
- Understanding of best practices and SFDC coding standards
- 2+ years of experience working on Salesforce Portal and Communities
- Experience on Java and Database languages
- Knowledge of deployment tools like Force.com IDE, Migration Tool
- Experience on integration tools like Jitterbit
- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer
- Strong problem-solving, analytic, conceptual and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills
