Job Summary Responsibilities: 24/7 Support of Cloud Services: Provide round-the-clock support for DXC's production cloud offerings, managing incidents, service requests, and executing changes in a timely manner. Actively monitor and support the availability and performance of cloud systems, ensuring optimal service. Proactive Service Improvement: Continuously enhance the service by driving automation, addressing incident root causes, and suggesting more agile and effective ways of working. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance service delivery and customer satisfaction. Ownership of Actions and Issues: Take complete ownership of incoming issues and tasks, driving them through to resolution with a focus on efficiency and quality. Collaboration and Consulting: Work within a multi-skilled Cloud Operations team, consulting with peers to extend your knowledge and reach successful outcomes. Share insights and lessons learned with the team to drive collective success. Non-Standard Service Requests (NSSR): Handle and respond to NSSRs logged by customers, offering tailored proposals and implementing requested solutions. SLA Adherence: Ensure that all service-level agreements (SLAs) are met consistently, maintaining a high standard of service. Change Management: Conform to and adhere to the change management process for customer environments, ensuring minimal disruption and smooth transitions. Automation Integration: Leverage existing automation processes from other teams to expedite deployments and streamline cloud operations. Contribute to Cloud Offerings: Identify automation opportunities and contribute relevant operational artifacts back into the DXC Cloud offerings. Support POC Deployments: Assist with Proof of Concept (POC) deployments for clients or internal automation development projects. Skills and Qualifications: System Administration & Cloud Solutions: Strong experience in system administration and deploying cloud solutions through Infrastructure as Code (IaC). AWS Expertise: Extensive experience with AWS administration, including services such as: IAM (Identity & Access Management), Roles, Policies EC2, S3, EBS, AMI, RDS (Relational Database Service) VPC, Subnet, Route Table, Security Groups, NACL Elastic Load Balancing, Auto Scaling, WAF CloudWatch, CloudTrail, AWS Config, and Cost Management AWS CloudFormation Templates Networking & Security: Hands-on experience with IPSec VPNs between AWS and customer data centers. Knowledge in configuring vRouters and Proxy Servers. Understanding and practice of AWS security best practices (IAM, encryption, etc.) Operating Systems and Networking: Strong administrative experience in Windows Server (2012 R2) and RHEL (Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6/7). Proficiency in network protocols and services (DNS, HTTP(S), SSH, FTP, SMTP, TCP/IP, etc.) Programming and Scripting: Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, Bash, Node.js, or JavaScript will be an advantage. ITSM & Automation Tools: Solid understanding of ITSM processes (incident, change, problem management). Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, etc. Additional Preferred Qualifications: Monitoring and Dashboards: Experience building and extending monitoring solutions and dashboards (e.g., Splunk) for internal or external clients. Certification: AWS Certified SysOps Administrator Associate. AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional (preferred). Educational Qualifications: Bachelor s degree in Information Science, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
