The role is part of a desk extension team and reports into the CFO/Business Insights team in London; as well as having a local reporting line in Mumbai.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Global Head of Deposits and CFO team in understanding the regional performance of the Deposits business (Revenues and volume). Specifically this includes:
  • Monthly Flash, forecast and reporting processes, including relevant explains and analysis, interacting with the business/ CFOs as necessary
  • Regular and ad-hoc deep-dives e.g. into key Treasury impacts causing performance deviation
• Support the Lending & Deposits business and regional CFO teams in understanding the impact of the Treasury Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) processes in WM; this includes providing monthly guidance to regional stakeholders to ensure consistency of output as well as understanding of drivers
• Build/ maintain close working relationship with Assets/ Liabilities Management team
• Key participation in the annual Planning process, providing updates to WM CFO e.g. through independent challenge of business assumptions
• Interaction with regional Business and CFOs to help resolve unexpected developments in Deposits revenue, and to ensure common understanding of complex across the stakeholder groups
• Various ad hoc analysis and strategically address issues that are complementary to the regular planning and forecasting processes.

Skills and Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

• Experience in Accountancy or Management Consulting
• Aptitude for analytical tasks and ability to pull out the key messages
• Strong communication skills with excellent English, both orally and written
• Ability to constructively challenge peer and senior colleagues
• Very good Excel working knowledge
• Good knowledge of the financial sector
