Full Stack Developer Job in Demyst

The Challenge We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer to join our team and help development on our core platform. Reporting to Senior Director, Engineering, your responsibilities will be to help maintain and develop several software services including our Next.js React front-end and integrating with our Ruby on Rails backend. You ll be joining a team of smart and hardworking engineers who help each other succeed. Key to our success is a willingness to learn and adapt quickly, so be ready to try new things and take on new challenges, with the support of the team of course. While this is a fully-remote role, successful candidates are expected to be based in Bengaluru where Demyst is building its next hub. You will be expected to align your working hours to the US. We will also hold certain workshops and fun activities from time to time that we expect the team to attend. Responsibilities Develop and maintain codebases for our core platform in line with agreed deadlines Ensure the coding standards are followed and maintained (including code reviews) Be able and willing to learn new languages and concepts Work as part of the team improving the code base and development practices Work with clients and internal stakeholders to understand requirements Be a team player and always willing to help other team members when required Focus on the outcome as opposed to the problems Requirements Bachelor s degree or relevant qualifications in Computer Science/Engineering Relevant work and research experience are also welcomed 1+ year of experience in developing software in Javascript (React) and/or Ruby (On Rails). Other language experience is a plus. Experience with Git and Github (Issues, Pull Requests) Experience in writing automated tests A good understanding of how web applications and distributed systems work.
