Role & Responsibility

• Work on creating video analytics and design for optimisation.
• Design, Code, Debug and Test various functions.
• Produce Functional specifications and Design documents.
• Support and maintain developed code through System Test and Deploy.
• Contribute to overall Product Requirements and Design.
• Complete defined tasks independently and actively help others.
• Establish work for software engineers by breaking up tasks into objectives.
• Customer focused, adapts well in a fast-changing environment.
• Improves team productivity. Participates in recruiting.
• Debug and Optimize Android applications to work on multiple Android versions and Devices.

Basic Qualifications

• Experienced in video analytics (JNI).
• 5+ years of experience in writing Android applications.
• Strong experience in Design patterns, Android UI design principles and Object-Oriented Programming.
• Experience with building Apps with Android SDK, Java, RxJava, SQL Lite and Rest APIs.
• Ability to develop and maintain lightweight applications that can run seamlessly in low end android devices under poor bandwidth, and prepaid data connections.
• Deeply technical with a track record of successful delivery as an individual contributor.
• Experience on web service integration (REST, JSON, XML).
• Handling different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes.
• Experience with Maven / Gradle, CI/CD tools like Jenkins etc.
• Strong understanding of CS Fundamentals, Algorithms and Data Structures.
• Strong understanding of the Full Mobile Development Life Cycle.
• Able to create high quality code which is testable and maintainable.
• Worked on building products specially in the consumer space.
• Familiarity with Agile development, Scrum, Continuous integration, and Test-Driven Development processes.
• Exposure to JavaScript and ReactJS.
• Experience of implementing logging to identify performance issues and building monitoring and alerting

Good to have

• Experience with AB testing, Analytics, Offline syncing, GCMs, Deep-linking, Notifications.
• Have published two or more Android apps in the Play store
• Strong UX/UI design exposure and experience in making apps work intuitively and with pixel perfect interface
