Roles and Responsibilities

It is a six month internship leading to full-time Research Analyst role

We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate to work on Mutual Fund Data Project.1. The job involves working in a team of analyst for collating and managing global mutual fund information.2. The primary responsibility will be collating and managing financial data.3. Data cleansing & standardization.4. Quality checks & analysis5. Doing quality checks in MS Excel as well as internal tools.6. Publishing the data reports7. Troubleshooting the data issues8. Coordinating with global teams.9. The candidate should be well conversant with various securities markets concepts, needs a fine eye for detail, as well as good understanding of the popular data analysis tools and databases.

Desired Candidate Profile

The candidate should be well conversant with various securities markets concepts, needs a fine eye for detail, as well as good understanding of the popular data analysis tools and databases.Candidate should have an interest in leaning new skillsets and should be willing to take efforts in this direction.1. Collation of mutual fund information along with other fundamental data from different regulatory sources and fund websites.2. Detailed study of various fund documents for working on:a. Fund classificationb. Security classificationc. Fund holdings and allocations datad. Corporate actions3. Developing a thorough understanding of the various filing nomenclature of countries under coverage.4. Standardization of and quality assurance of mutual fund information.5. Assisting team members in resolving technical issues and financial data queries.6. Drive continuous improvement within the process through quality initiatives.7. Awareness of financial reporting requirements.8. Willing to explore and learn new technologies, must have a strong problem resolution mindset9. Good command on English communication. (written & verbal)10.Able to prioritize responsibilities and adhere to deadlines.Knowledge of VBA macros, R, Python, XML is an added advantage.
