Job Summary

Roles and Responsibilities

24/7*365 Monitoring of the following (but not limited to):

Infrastructure Monitoring e.g. Network Circuits, Servers (Date Centre Hosted & Cloud Host)

Application Monitoring e.g. New Relic, PRTG, etc.

Business Monitoring e.g. Volume Drop in Calls, Topups, Opt-in, etc

Perform Troubleshooting to determine the Impact of Issue triggered through Alert / Alarm.

Driving Major Incidents till resolution, Major Incident Communication to Stakeholders.

Major incident central point of contact and control and Ensuring all necessary parties are engaged.

SLA and Performance reporting

Trend analysis and identification to feed back into relevant teams to mitigate or prevent future issues.

Provide in depth technical experience and guidance to other team members.

Exploring the Gaps in Current Monitoring System and service not brought under Monitoring.

Establish and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders and external partners and vendors

Act as a technical resource as and when required with project to change or upgrade parts of our environment Reviewing and improving operational processes, procedures and documentation associated with the operations of these systems.

Ensuring that all security policies and procedures are followed without exception, reporting any deficiencies or non-compliance.

Skills and Experience:

Working Knowledge on Various Monitoring Tools E.g. New Relic, solar Winds, PRTG, etc

Working Knowledge on Cloud Technology e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc

Working Knowledge on IT Service Management Standards e.g. ITIL, Scrum, etc

Basic IP networking Knowledge, (Routing & Switching)

Hands On Exposure on Incident Management, Incident Communication, etc.

End User Ticket Diagnosis.

Good Analytics Skills, Verbal Communication, Written Communication.

Desired Candidate Profile

Certified on recognised Cloud Technoloy e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.

Certified on IT Service Management Standard e.g. ITIL

Good Understanding of AWS Services e.g. route53, EC2, load Balancers,etc

Good Understanding of Azure Services e.g. Application Insights, Logic App, MS SQL, Cosmos DB,etc.

Simple Scripting Knowledge to Automate Routine Tasks.

Good understanding Ericsson /Huawei / Telecom architecture in a TDM and VoIP evolving world.

IP architecture knowledge with the capability to dimension a network for new products and services

4-8 years experience in monitoring and support of IT applications and services (Windows and Linux based)

ITIL v3 Practitioner (Desirable)

Experience Required :

5 to 8 Years
