Job Description
Our Legal team is looking for a Legal Operations Analyst. The Legal Operations team is involved in everything the legal department does, except for practicing law. This team enables each of the legal practice areas by improving and researching, preparing and maintaining the Legal team's presentations, operational reports, internal processes, systems, and technology tools. Our responsibilities include vendor/financial spend management, contracts management, knowledge management, increasing overall operational effectiveness by implementing new technologies and policies, and special projects. Working collaboratively across Cvent, we keep Legal a well-oiled machine.
You will, under the direction of the Program Lead, Legal Operations (located at US HQ):
Manage annual filings with governmental entities, which will require coordinate with internal Tax and Finance Department.
Build weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reports based on operational metrics and KPIs for use with other departments and the executive team.
Manage law firm/legal vendor set up, invoice review against billing guidelines, data entry, and budget dashboard preparation.
Handle monthly budget accrual preparedness and release process.
Organize, maintain, and develop knowledge repositories.
Assist with defining and improving centralized resources to ensure they are well maintained and accurate.
Own and operate the Legal Department Matter In-Take System; develop processes, training, and workflows to improve service delivery methods.
Improve contract processes to increase quality, accuracy, and efficiency, including data entry, governance controls and reporting.
Maintain contract template versions and assist in deploying changes to templates across the business.
Help with US licensing administration and the management and prosecution of licensing applications and renewals.
Analyze and document current state processes and systems and research and identify technical/functional solutions that will improve processes, systems, and workflows.
Anticipate and mitigate pain points, devise creative solutions, and drive change management.
Create and present process documentation, including self-help tools, training videos, Q&A, process flows, etc. for tools used and/or managed by the Legal Team.
Complete ad hoc requests and special projects, reporting and status inquiries.
Minimum Qualifications:
1-2 years of paralegal and/or legal operations experience.
A commitment to professionalism and personal growth.
Strong critical thinking and analytical style.
Ability to proactively drive, prioritize, manage, own, and execute on numerous projects simultaneously.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Willingness and capability to read legal documents.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and Powerpoint.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Salesforce and Confluence (Wiki)
Experience in Project Management and Operations
Experience with a Contracts Management System
