Job Summary

Cvent's Global Demand Center is seeking a motivated and passionate Database Marketer to support our targeted outbound efforts by continuously evolving our global audience identification and campaign segmentation strategies. Cvent s Marketing database is the engine to our powerful marketing lead generation machine. This role will support all global stakeholders by optimizing our ability to target accounts within both the prospect and customer universe to foster engagement that drives sales pipeline and revenue efficiently and at speed. The ideal candidate should be able to understand the campaign life cycle, data segmentation, process flows, and optimize SQL queries to comply with CVENT s rapidly evolving business and campaign requirements.

Cvent s Global Demand Center manages the technology, processes, and data that generate leads and demand for Cvent s suite of products. We are an internal shared-services agency housing digital, email, web and database marketing as well as full lifecycle campaign and program management and execution. This consultative role will support the Database Marketing efforts through strategic recommendations, insights, and action plans that yield higher, and more quality, conversion. Candidates should have a strong understanding of data structures as they relate to CRM systems and marketing campaigns.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Import, export, analyze, extract data and related information using SSMS/MS SQL Server
  • Interpret the strategies being used in campaigns and provide data, analyze results and report the same to regional and product-focused Marketing teams
  • Database segmentation.
  • Apply qualitative and quantitative methods and suggest areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Translate data into viable business recommendations; present findings and actionable insights
  • Liaise with internal teams to define requirements and timelines to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of data elements required for projects.
  • Document database best practices and learn new technologies
  • Understand the marketing database and work on automation strategies to improve overall business efficiency.

Skills & Requirements

  • 0-2 years of relevant professional work experience
  • Ability to write SQL queries to carry out data transformation & ad-hoc analysis or experience in database systems, SQL coding and code review to ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel/Word/PPT etc.)
  • Basic understanding of marketing platforms like Marketo, Salesforce and other CRM systems
  • Basic knowledge about implementation of marketing email campaigns
  • Must be self-motivated and enjoy an extremely fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills (Verbal & written); ability to provide concise, clear reporting and actionable analysis
