Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • To lead & coordinate Process safety management (PSM) implementation across sites to ensure all defined requirements of PSM are complied to.
  • To conduct risk assessment of various new products, existing plant processes & other manufacturing operations to identify potential hazards & associated risk. Generate risk mitigation plan in coordination site teams & approval from top management.
  • To lead in overall effective implementation & coordination of activities related to Integrated management system with high focus on IMS compliances, system effectiveness & business impact
  • To drive implementation of various codes of Responsible care through various procedures, activities & programs to achieve utmost compliances against requirements & business impact
  • To lead, coordinate and act as bridge among site teams & auditor for various customer audits (Q-HSE audits) to facilitate online/off-line mode auditing Process.
  • To impart / contribute training and development of people to improve overall understanding of {SM, IMS system requirements to help people build their skills, capabilities & competencies.
  • To coordinate among team for compliances of corrective actions from audits, risk assessment or site surveys through vibrant follow up mechanism.
  • To act as conduit for various customer visits, surveys by 3rd party agencies to ensure objectives of visits/Surveys are achieved in line with organizational expectations.


Desired Candidate Profile

  • Hands on experience in interpretation of R&D data, MSDS data & other literature
  • Basic understanding on various process safety tests & interpretation of Differential scanning data (DSC), reaction calorimetry data to identify potential process hazard issues in manufacturing Process
  • Good understanding and hands on experience of other risk assessment tools like Process risk assessment (PRA), HAZOP, HIRA, Journey risk assessment
  • Hands on experience in Implementation of IMS system (QMS/EMS/OHS) with an approach to derive functional process improvements, optimum compliances & business impact. In addition to IMS, candidate should be well versed with TFS, SMETA and conversant with data entry on global sustainability platforms.
  • Ability to work in matrix way within organization with ability to work with team, external auditor, customers, site & functional leaders across organization
