KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Support an equity research analyst of a US-based sell-side firm tracking the Medical Devices sector

  • Build end-to-end financial models for initiating coverage; update models for earnings and events
  • Contribute to initiation notes, earnings notes and other notes
  • Search and aggregation related to sector and companies
  • Provide data and analysis based on various client requests
  • Build and update sector databases
  • Prepare and update marketing presentations
  • Use data sources such as Factset and Bloomberg
  • Stay up to date and adhere to all CRISIL and client Compliance policies and procedures
FUNCTIONAL & BEHAVIOURAL KNOWLEDGE
  • Ability to understand and interpret basic scientific (biological) concepts
  • Understanding of the essential dynamics in the US healthcare market
  • Keen understanding of financial analysis
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting and valuation concepts
  • Excellent MS-Excel skills
  • Ability to write research reports
  • Excellent client management and communication
  • Ability to think and work independently
  • Strong time management skills

Contributes to the resolution of complex quantitative or qualitative research issues; takes a new perspective on existing solutions

Communicates with internal & external clients and/or issuers as necessary

MINIMUM & PREFERRED EDUCATION
  • MBA (Finance) from reputed institute / CA / CPA is essential
  • Progress towards CFA (US) would be preferred
  • A medical degree (B. Pharma / M. Pharma / MBBS) would be preferred but not essential
MINIMUM & PREFERRED EXPERIENCE / SKILLS
  • Prior experience of minimum 3years in equity research, tracking the Medical Devices sector, or, other Healthcare sectors is mandatory
