Description/ Responsibilities: The Head of Algo team will report to the Senior Analyst and is tasked with:

• Developing/Maintaining data driven sophisticated analytical methodologies targeted to produce robust and consistent corporate performance metrics across multiple sectors (could be Telecom, Media or Video Games)
• Collaborating with the analysts and/or clients to identify their needs in order to create new business opportunities
• Lead a team of quants both in India and in the US

• Key functional responsibilities:

• Identifying new analytical opportunities for market research, performing analysis and developing data-driven reports
• Development of best fit analysis methodologies
• Development and deployment of statistical models for estimation and prediction of corporate performance
• Support the sales process by developing analyses for sales pitches and press releases
• driven sophisticated analytical methodologies targeted to produce robust and consistent corporate performance metrics across multiple sectors (could be Telecom, Media or Video Games)
• Collaborating with the analysts and/or clients to identify their needs in order to create new business opportunities
• Lead a team of quants both in India and in the US

Proficiency in mathematical model development for extrapolation, forecasting, price sensitivity analysis, etc.
Proficiency in implementing the models in any of these - Python, Matlab, R, etc. Python preferred
Experience in working with large amounts of data and in developing actionable intelligence from the analysis
Proficiency in SQL or Databricks
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Being a self-starter, motivated, flexible and self-learner
Should be able to take a business requirement from an analyst, formulate it into a mathematical model and implement it with his/her team prefer the candidate to be more
Should be open to new ideas and consider business requirements as paramount
Should get hands dirty by digging into the data and building models and not just delegate
Thorough understanding of the financial markets and their implications on corporate performances
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Entrepreneurial spirit

Mastersdegree in any Math/statistics programs preferred from premier colleges
7-10 years relevant experience- Candidate should have madotory experience in R/ Python Preferred and Statistical /Mathematical Modelling.
