KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Carry out fundamental credit analysis of Investment Grade (IG) energy companies (primarily oil and gas)
- Prepare/ update credit models, perform peer analysis, relative value analysis and calculations of key credit quality determinants
- Working on M&A and refinancing deals
- Identify bonds and communicate the buy/sell/hold investment idea to the client
- Preparing thematic presentations and industry decks, such as those highlighting key sector trends, emerging risks, or potential turnaround candidates
- Regular surveillance of assigned portfolio by proactively tracking the company events (including quarterly earnings), peer group and other industry information sources
- Working on M&A and refinancing deals
- Support the client with any other ad-hoc research requests
- Engage with client teams proactively and suggest new ideas to enhance client engagement
- Background in conducting credit analysis of corporates with exposure to oil and gas companies, which will be an added advantage
- Strong knowledge of fundamental credit analysis with an ability to identify bonds and recommend buy/sell/hold ideas
- Good understanding of covenant analysis, capital structure analysis and recovery analysis

- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Good awareness of global financial and macroeconomic trends
- MBA/CA/US CFA with more than 3-7 years of experience in credit research
- Experience of having covered the oil and gas sector (investment grade or HY)
- Working knowledge of Bloomberg is preferred
