Job Summary
Department MI&A Job Description Role - Director for Power Utlity and Regulatory Practice within Energy, Commodities and Sustainabillity. Location - Gurgaon/Mumbai Experience -12 + The recruit will be responsible for leading the Power Utilities & Regulatory business catering to multilaterals and bilaterals, central and state level agencies and government undertakings. Focus areas amongst others - policy and regulatory, program design and implementation, power procurement optimization, RE integration, energy efficiency, sustainability, establishing and supervising project management units. Open Positions 1 Mandatory Skills Business Strategy, business development, delivery management Location Gurgaon, Haryana, India Roles & Responsibilities The candidate should have a demonstrated track record of having led large-sized complex consulting assignments with multilaterals and utilities and government agencies engaged in power sector in India: Sector and Business related Expert knowledge of the power/energy value chain including renewables, thermal, discoms, transmission, energy efficiency and carbon markets Ability to foresee trends, policies and inter-linkages with the macro economy Flair to get market intelligence and skill to sense business and commercial insights Deep understanding of regulatory landscape, industry dynamics from all relevant angles (demand-supply, price movement, profitability, changing regulatory and competitive landscape) Strong understanding of Policy, Regulatory environment of Energy sector of other countries. Deep appreciation of benchmarks and norms for tariff, costs, contracts, fuel pricing, etc. Working knowledge of demand forecasting models, energy transition models and energy efficiency models based on qualitative and, when appropriate, statistical analysis ensuring high quality deliverables Exceptional client Management skills Author and publish articles to showcase thought-leadership and build franchise for the business Making high impact presentations to potential clients and key stake holders Business Development Established senior level relationships and ability to leverage business relationships.
