Job Summary
Responsibilities
- To generate innovative controls automation solutions to problems of high complexity for systems used in rail equipment and rail industry
- To coordinate with customers and define technical requirement speciation and acceptance criteria
- Development of project execution plan and identify competencies required to execute the project
- Provide required technical trainings to the team and bridge the competency gap
- Create machine programs from the PLC and HMI Control Systems
- Prepare product or system layouts, detailed drawings, and schematics
- Design and integrate industrial automation and control systems including PLC controls, motor controls, and general machine design controls
- Identify controls criteria and create control algorithms and specifications from machine operation, performance specifications
- Verify proper operation and function of controls design and programs on machines
Required Skills
- A Bachelors degree with 10-12 years of experience or a Masters degree with 8-10 years of experience in controls systems for rail equipment
- Controls and automation experience in engines, generators, and rail equipment
- Hand on experience in Allen Bradley, Rockwell Automation software s RSLogix, RSView, Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet
- Good experience in HMI and SCADA development
- Good experience in project management
- Strong communication skills oral, written and presentation
- Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
- Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs like Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and external customers
- Experience with quality assurance, writing and managing requirements including traceability and requirements management tools
