Job Summary
In this role you will work on the following...
- Monitor database performance and maintain production availability and stability to meet and exceed 99.99% uptime goals
- Migrate, backup, restore, troubleshoot issues for tens of thousands of databases in an SQL Availability group
- Expertise Build, Manage and Maintain NoSQL Databases like MongoDB, DocumentDB (AWS)
- Identify and optimize inefficient queries and Performance tuning
- Refine and automate recurring operational database tasks using PowerShell and/or python
- Collaborate with NOC, SRE, Infrastructure and Applications teams on efforts to improve database performance, stability, and availability
- Support daily database administrative taskz
You ve Got What It Takes If You Have...
- 5+ years DBA experience in SQL Servers and NoSQL Databases
- Expert knowledge on NoSQL databases like MongoDB
- Advanced Automation skills using powershell/python
- Experience with backups, restores, recovery models, high availability, and disaster recovery solutions
- Knowledge of Indexes, Index management, Statistics
- Experience in troubleshooting SQL Server database performance
- Experience with AWS based infrastructure and Database engines
- Experience in collaborating with cross functional global and remote teams with diverse background
- Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with technical, applications and operational staff to ensure database integrity and security
- Quality focus and attention to detail

- Experience with Jenkins/Rundeck
- Experience with AWS
- Experience with SSIS, SSRS, CLI, and other scripting language
