Senior Cloud Specialist Job in Contis Group Ltd

Job Overview :

The purpose of this position is to design, plan, implement and maintain the infrastructure based on VMware virtualization, Docker, Kubernetes, Windows, Linux.

Responsibilities & Duties :

• Demonstrate knowledge of cloud architecture and implementation features (OS, multi-tenancy, virtualization, orchestration, elastic scalability, Docker, Kubernetes, Microservices)
  
• Design, Implement, Maintain and Monitor of Kubernetes cluster
• Demonstrate leadership ability to back decisions with research and the why, and articulate several options, the pros and cons for each, and a recommendation
• Maintain overall industry knowledge on latest trends, technology, etc.
• Develop solutions architecture and evaluate architectural alternatives for private, public and hybrid cloud models, including IaaS, PaaS, and other cloud services
• Work on CI/CD Pipeline using various DevOps Tools
• Contribute to DevOps development activities and complex development tasks
• Define optimal design patterns and solutions for high availability and disaster recovery for applications
• Act as the coach and mentor to team members and technical staff on their assigned project tasks
• Security, Risk and Compliance - Advise on best practices around access management, network setup, regulatory compliance, and related areas.

Skills & Knowledge Required :

• Bachelor s degree in computer science, information technology or a related study
  
• 8 + years of experience spanning at least two IT disciplines, including technical architecture, network & system administration, cloud operations
• 5+ years of experience spanning at least four IT disciplines, Containers and Container Management Platforms including Kubernetes, Cloud Backup and DR, Security - Micro Segmentation, IAM, Firewalls, etc., Designing and building public cloud infrastructure: Experience specific to Microsoft Azure or AWS, Deep understanding of virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM, Hyper-V)
• Automation of Public Cloud Infrastructure deployment and configuration via: PowerShell and Public API's, ARM or Cloud Formation, Ansible/Terraform
• Must have experience on Containers and Container Management Platforms(Kubernetes)
• Expertise with Docker/Kubernetes Monitoring (Prometheus, Sensu, etc.)
• In-depth knowledge with Linux environments
• Knowledge of VPN, SIEM, WAF, DNS, Web Server, SQL Server will be added advantages
